The Opening ceremony of the ICC Cricket World Cup’2011 held on 17 Feb, 2011 in Dhaka and the opening match will be at 19 Feb 2011. After the Bangladesh national anthem was played out, the captains of respective teams entered the stadium on decorated rickshaws. The Central Organising Committee (COC) for the ICC Cricket World Cup (ICC CWC) 2011 made the recommendation in its meeting held in the Indian city of Mumbai Wednesday . The meeting chaired by ICC vice-president Sharad Pawar was attended by ICC Chief Executive Haroon Lorgat and representatives of the three countries set to stage the event, Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka, according to ICC media release. This event telecast will go live on STAR Cricket from evening 5:30 PM local time India and you can watch the highlights of it on next day.
